SPUD x The Dumpling King Collaboration

SPUD is a Canadian online grocer, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, organic produce, and supporting local. In 2020, business objectives were focused on how to amplify the incredible talent and voices of the local BC and Alberta vendors that SPUD carries. I spearheaded a campaign to do just that, called Meet the Makers.

The idea behind the campaign was to interview and film the owners of local brands doing what they love: serving the community, cooking up a delicious meal, and talking food.

Our first local star was Matthew Murtagh-Wu. He is, and owns, The Dumpling King in Vancouver, BC. Matt is a dynamic personality and infuses heart, culture, and community into his local business. With over 550,000 small batch dumplings made in five years, Matt is building his empire one bite at a time.

I produced and directed the video, as well as provided copy direction, copywriting, and editing for the campaign to be distributed on all SPUD channels—ecomm, social, paid, and email.
